The only addivites I use are to maintain calicum or alkalinity. For the majority of the time I use only Kalkwasser, but occassionally I will use sodium bicarbonate (AKA bicarb soda AKA baking soda) to adjust for low alkalinity.

Magnesium levels in the aquaria stay close to natural seawater and I do not need to dose.

I have never dosed strontium nor iodide/iodine and I do not believe any of the inhabitants have suffered.
